Part-Time Housing Manager
Program: Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program
Reports To: Supportive Services Manager
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Part-Time Housing Manager plays a key role in supporting the Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program’s Housing initiative by ensuring housing units are maintained to high standards and residents have a clean, safe, and stable environment. This position is responsible for conducting regular inspections, developing housing protocols, collecting rent, and collaborating with the New Leaf team to support survivor-centered housing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standardized housing inspection procedures and related documentation for New Leaf Housing units.
- Conduct detailed inspections of all New Leaf units, taking thorough notes and providing concrete feedback on areas needing repair or improvement.
- Perform monthly inspections of each housing unit, increasing frequency to weekly when needed for intervention or support.
- Establish and communicate cleaning and care expectations for all New Leaf Housing residents.
- Collect rent from all residents who are responsible for payment, either directly or through third-party support resources.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all inspections, interventions, follow-up actions, and plans.
- Participate in weekly New Leaf Team Meetings to support coordination of resident case plans, interventions, and communication across the team.
- Collaborate with the housing and advocacy team to ensure the program meets its trauma-informed, survivor-centered goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience in property management, housing services, or related field preferred.
- Ability to maintain clear documentation and manage multiple units and timelines efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a trauma-informed, non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to SAOP’s mission of supporting survivors and promoting safe, stable housing.
Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible part-time schedule; some inspections may occur on evenings or weekends based on resident needs.
Hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
